8PartyPlay ("we," "us," or "our") operates the 8PartyPlay mobile application (the "App"), a social party-games app that includes a Coin Flip tool (Head / Tail — the "8" coin), a Beer Bottle spinner tool, and party games such as Truth or Dare. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This policy is designed to comply with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines (including 5.1 Privacy) and applicable data-protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
Information We Collect
1. Account Information
- Email address (only if you sign in with email or choose to share it via Sign in with Apple / Google)
- Username / display name
- Profile avatar (if uploaded)
- Authentication provider identifier (Apple ID or Google account)
We do not store your password. Authentication is handled securely through Sign in with Apple or Google Sign In. If you choose "Hide My Email" when signing in with Apple, we only receive the Apple-provided relay address.
You can also use the App as a guest without creating an account. Guest sessions store only local device data.
2. Gameplay Data
- Game scores, round history, and results
- Coin Flip and Beer Bottle tool usage (stored locally; not tied to your identity)
- Stars (virtual currency) balance and transaction history
- Friends list and in-app social interactions you initiate
- Tournament participation and rankings
- XP and level progression
3. Device Information
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- App version
- Push notification token (only if you grant notification permission)
- Timezone and locale
We do not collect the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
4. Audio Data (Optional Features Only)
- The App accesses your device microphone only for optional voice-based game modes (such as "Reverse Singing") and only after you grant permission via the standard iOS permission prompt
- Audio is processed locally on your device for gameplay purposes
- Audio recordings are not uploaded to our servers, not stored after the round ends, and not shared with third parties
- Microphone access can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > 8PartyPlay
5. Diagnostic & Usage Data
- Aggregated feature usage statistics (e.g. which games are played)
- Crash logs and performance data
This data is used only to improve the App and is not linked to your identity for advertising or cross-app tracking.
6. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise or coarse location data
- We do not access your contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide and maintain the App's functionality
- Process in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Enable multiplayer gameplay and social features
- Send push notifications (with your consent)
- Improve the App and develop new features
- Ensure fair play and prevent abuse
- Respond to customer support requests
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers in-app purchases and subscriptions processed through the Apple App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not accessible to us. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status and entitlements.
Virtual Currency
Stars are a virtual currency within the App. Stars have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency. We track Stars balances and transactions for gameplay purposes.
Children's Privacy
The App is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@8partyplay.com and we will promptly delete it. The App is not designed for the Kids Category and does not offer parental-gate features.
Mature / Adult Content
The App includes optional party-game modes and prompt decks intended for audiences 17 years of age or older, which may reference alcohol, dating, and mature humor consistent with the App Store 17+ rating. Mature decks are clearly labeled and are opt-in; they can be disabled at any time in-app. The App does not promote real-world gambling, does not offer real-money prizes, and the Coin Flip and Beer Bottle tools are for entertainment purposes only.
Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of any non-essential processing

In-App Account Deletion (required by Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v)): You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly from within the App at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account. No email request is required. Upon confirmation, your account is deactivated immediately and all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
